In a Mx N Matrix such that all non zero entries are covered in a row and b column.Then the maximum number of non-n-zero entries ,such that no two are on the same row or column is

<=maximum(a,b) <=minimum(M-a,N-b) <=(a+b) <= minimum(a,b)
