The loss can be calculated (with c = c= dollars/bicycle) per:

[ 1 ( 144 6 ) c 144 c ] × 100 % = 4.1 % . [1 - \frac{(144-6)c}{144c}] \times 100\% = \boxed{4.1\%}.
