Projectile Motion

A ball is projected horizontally with a speed v from the top of a plane inclined at an angle 45 degrees with the horizontal. How far from the point of projection will the ball strike the plane?

v 2 g \frac { { v }^{ 2 } }{ g } 2 2 v 2 g \sqrt { 2 } \frac { { 2v }^{ 2 } }{ g } 2 v 2 g \sqrt { 2 } \frac { { v }^{ 2 } }{ g } 2 v 2 g \frac { { 2v }^{ 2 } }{ g }

This is my first submitted solution to any problem so all feedback is welcome!

Moderator note:

Simple standard approach.

What is the angle that the ball should be projected at in order to reach the furthest distance for when it first strikes the plane?

It wont let me post the image of my work but I arrived at θ=pi/8
