5 x + 4 x − 3 x − 2 x = 10 x 2 − 6 x 5^x+4^x-3^x-2^x=10x^2-6x Find the sum of all real values of x x satisfying the above equation.


The answer is 3.

This can be done by using trial and error. By putting in numbers, you'll see that 0 < x < 3 0<x<3 , because if x > 2 x>2 , there will be an inequality and it keeps increasing alongside the value of x due to the equation mainly consists of exponentials.
