The area A = 3.5 m × 80 cm = 3.5 m × 0.8 m = 2.8 m 2 A=3.5 \text{ m} \times 80 \text{ cm} = 3.5 \text{ m} \times 0.8 \text{ m} = \boxed{2.8} \text{ m}^2

First convert 80 cm \text{80 cm} to m \text{m} ,

80 cm=0.8 m \text{80 cm=0.8 m}

Then, find the area

A = 3.5 × 0.8 = 2.8 m 2 A= 3.5 \times 0.8 = \boxed{2.8~m^2}
