Rats can run vertically too!!

A wedge is placed on a smooth horizontal plain and a rat runs on its sloping slide . The velocity of the wedge is v= 4m s 1 s^{-1} towards the right . What should be the velocity of the rat with respect to the wedge(u) ,so that the rat appears to move in the vertical direction to an observer standing on the ground?

2m s 1 s^{-1} 8m s 1 s^{-1} 5.64m s 1 s^{-1} 4m s 1 s^{-1}

Rat will move on due to pseudoforce.

u(cos60)=v so u=8m/s
