We know that - Velocity= D i s p l a c e m e n t T i m e \frac{Displacement}{Time} As the athlete reaches the diametrically opposite end , his displacement is equal to twice his radius. - Displacement = 2 × r a d i u s 2 \times radius = 2 * 3 meters = 6 meters - Time = 4 seconds - Velocity = 6 4 \frac{6}{4} m/s = 3/2 m/s
