Really? That Simple?

Calculus Level 2

On a global scale, the following equation is practically the same as...?

y = 5 x 2 + 3 x + 1 x 2 1 y= \frac{5x^2+3x+1}{x^2-1}

Note: Global Scale means looking at the function as a whole, the same local events don't matter.

y = 5 x y= 5x y = 1 5 x y= \frac {1}{5x} y = x 5 y= \frac {x}{5} y = 1 5 y= \frac {1}{5} y = 5 y= 5

As x approaches infinity, this expression will tend to 5x^2/x^2 which is simply 5
