The empty circles become empty squares and vise versa, whilst the filled (black) shapes don't contribute any shapes. This means that we need one more empty circle and two more empty squares to create one more empty square and two more empty circles. B is the only option that satisfies this criteria, therefore the answer is B.

there are many other ways of looking at this problem... I think (e) is the right answer. It is a request for you to please revise the question
