Continuing this pattern, how many instances of the letter k would sentence 100 have?

100 4 = 400 100*4=\boxed{400}

The first sentence contains 4 4 k's, the second contains 8 8 , and each additional sentence contains four more.

LOL, I just select Ctrl-F and search for "k". The pattern shows 4,8,12. This is cute!

That's a smart way to help count. I was considering asking for the total number of letters but wanted to keep it easy.
