A man walks a certain distance and rides back in hours. If he ride both ways he makes it in hours. How many hours will it take to walk both way(in hrs) .

Lets say that his destination was x km. He walks with a speed of v w and his car runs with a speed of v c . Now
x / v w + x / v c = 1 5 / 4 and 2 x / v c = 5 / 2 ... Solving we get x / v w = 5 / 2 so ... walking both ways 2 x / v w = 5 . That is our ans .
