A man is going on a road trip at an average speed of 60 miles per hour. In the middle of the trip, he stopped to eat a cheeseburger for 10 minutes. When he finished, he drove at an average speed of 50 miles per hour, because he also had a beer with the cheeseburger. The police found out he was drinking, and he was stopped for 10 minutes at 3/4 of the way on his trip. For the last 1/4 of the trip, he drove at an average of 45 miles per hour. Assuming the guy took 2060 minutes to finish the trip, how long was the trip in total?

total travel time = 2060 - 20 min = 2040 min = 34 hrs

let total distance be x.

((x/2)/60 + (x/4)/50 + (x/4)/45) = 34

(x/120 + x/200 + x/180) = 34

(34x/1800) = 34

ans x = 1800 miles
