1 min =15 cents so
100 min = 1500 cents 1 text = 10 cents so
60 texts = 600 cents therefore, in that month , his monthly bill is 2100 cents we know that 1 dollar = 100 cents so

2100 cents = 21 dollars

1 $ = 100 cents. calls cost = 15 x 100 = 15 $ texts cost = 60 x 10 = 6 $ 15 + 6 = 21 $.

calls - 15cents/min texts - 10cents/text

100 x 15 = 1500 60 x 10 = 600

therefore, 1500 + 600 = 2100 cents = $21

bill = (100 minutes x 15 cents/minute) + (60 texts x 10 cents/text)

= 1500 cents + 600 cents

= 2100 cents

= 2100 cents x 0.01 $/cent

= 21 $

It is given that calls are 15c per minute and texts are 10c per text. If he has 100 mins of calls and 60 texts you have to use multiplication. Then add the products and convert the cents into $.

if Calls cost = x. if Texts cost = y. And x = 15 c, y = 10 c, 100 c = 1$. So, $ if he made 100 minutes of calls and 60 texts, thus 100x + 60y = 100.15 c + 60. 10 c = 2100 c = 21$. Answer : 21

100*(15/100)=15

60*0.1=6
