10 cents per text => 600 cents for 60 texts. 15 cents per minute => 1500 cents for 100 minutes. totally 2100 cents. => 21$. simple!!
1 min =15 cents so
100 min = 1500 cents
1 text = 10 cents so
60 texts = 600 cents
therefore, in that month , his monthly bill is 2100 cents
we know that 1 dollar = 100 cents so
2100 cents = 21 dollars
1 $ = 100 cents. calls cost = 15 x 100 = 15 $ texts cost = 60 x 10 = 6 $ 15 + 6 = 21 $.
100 cents = 1 dollar 60(10) + 100(15) = 2100 cents 2100/100 = 21 dollars
15 cents x 100 minutes = 1500 cents = $15
10 cents x 60 minutes = 600 cents = $6
15 + 6 = 21
Simple solution...
multiply 100 min with 15 and multiply 10 with 60 the add the sum 1500 + 600 = 2100 i$ = 100 cent so divide with 100 answer is 21$
calls =(100*15=1500 cents =15$)
texts=(60*10=600 cents =6$)
bill =15+6=21
1 Minute = 15 cents 100 Minute = 15 into 100 =1500 cents Into Dollars = 1500 Cents/100 =15 Dollars 1 Text = 10 cents 60 text= 600 cents Into Dollars = 600 cents / 100 =6 Dollars Total = 15 + 6 21 Dollars .Ans
calls - 15cents/min texts - 10cents/text
100 x 15 = 1500 60 x 10 = 600
therefore, 1500 + 600 = 2100 cents = $21
bill = (100 minutes x 15 cents/minute) + (60 texts x 10 cents/text)
= 1500 cents + 600 cents
= 2100 cents
= 2100 cents x 0.01 $/cent
= 21 $
brilliant dear............
nice
It is given that calls are 15c per minute and texts are 10c per text. If he has 100 mins of calls and 60 texts you have to use multiplication. Then add the products and convert the cents into $.
if Calls cost = x. if Texts cost = y. And x = 15 c, y = 10 c, 100 c = 1$. So, $ if he made 100 minutes of calls and 60 texts, thus 100x + 60y = 100.15 c + 60. 10 c = 2100 c = 21$. Answer : 21
100*(15/100)=15
60*0.1=6
15+6=21

1 min = 15 cents then, 100 min = 1500 cents and 1 text = 10 cents then 60 cents =600 cents
total cents =2100
