Let the no. of calls and texts be x x as they are both same as given in the question. Now, we have--

Total cost of calls = 15 x =15x and Total cost of texts = 10 x =10x . The sum of these costs is in paise. Given that the total costs of that month is £ 8 = ( 8 × 100 ) p = 800 p £8=(8\times 100)p = 800p . So, now we have,

15 x + 10 x = 800 25 x = 800 x = 32 15x+10x=800 \implies 25x=800 \implies x=\boxed{32}

So, No. of texts sent in that month = x = 32 =x=\boxed{32}

Let, the number of text=the number of calls=x, according to the question, we get - 0.15x+0.10x=8 or, 0.25x=8 or, x=32 (Ans )
