Rolling dices!

Level 1

When 3 3 dice ( numbered from 1 1 to 6 6 ) are rolled simultaneously, what is the probability of getting the sum as 15?

15 216 \frac{15}{216} 5 108 \frac{5}{108} 10 108 \frac{10}{108} 15 108 \frac{15}{108}

There's 10 ways for the 3 dice to add up to 15, so 10 216 = 5 108 \dfrac{10}{216} = \dfrac{5}{108}

( 5 , 5 , 5 ) (5,5,5) ...1 way
( 6 , 5 , 4 ) (6,5,4) ...6 ways
( 6 , 6 , 3 ) (6,6,3) ...3 ways
