Rotate the Resistances

Find the resistance between terminals A A and B B .

R = 1 Ω R=1 \Omega .

Give your answer, by correcting it to three decimal places.

Note : The ladder follows the same pattern as is shown.

1 solution

Let the total effective resistance be N N .Then we have N = 1 R + 1 2 R + N N=\frac{1}{R}+\frac{1}{2R+N} . Solving, N = 3 1 = 0.732 N=\sqrt{3}-1=0.732 .

Could you please brief it out ?
