A toy is made for kids where some small beads are put in a hollow steel hemisphere which is mounted on a rod. When the rod is spun, the hemisphere will rotate along with it and the beads inside it make noise. The base of the hemisphere--the flat, circular lid closing the hemisphere--is made of a light plastic material.
