Another explanation:
Once unloaded, in the trucks I, II and III, there are 1 2 3 0 − ( 5 + 1 0 + 1 5 ) = 1 2 0 0 good baskets in ratio 3 : 4 : 5 . Written as an equation:
3 x + 4 x + 5 x = 1 2 0 0
and solving for x , we get
1 2 x = 1 2 0 0 x = 1 0 0
So, after unloading, in the trucks I, II and III remain 3 0 0 baskets, 4 0 0 baskets and 5 0 0 baskets of good mangoes, respectively. Now we add the rotten’ baskets to get the original number of baskets, and we are done.
For the third truck: 5 0 0 good baskets + 1 5 rotten baskets = 5 1 5 baskets.

Total baskets of mangoes= 1230; baskets of Rotten mangoes= 30; remaining good ones 1230-30=1200 baskets in third truck= 5/(3+4+5) * 1200 = 500
plus 15 baskets of rotten mangoes. So total 500+15= 515 :)
