A boat carrying heavy metal equipment is travelling in a lake when out of nowhere, a tornado comes and capsizes the boat. All the equipment sinks to the bottom of the lake. What will happen to the water level of the lake?

Before the ship sinks, the weight of water displaced = weight of boat AND equipment. However, since the equipment sank, the mass of water displaced by equipment only is less than total mass of equipment. Hence water level must decrease.
