Run with the soldier..!!

The last soldier of an 80m long marching troops runs from the end to its front, and then it runs back to the end with the same speed. During this, the marching troops covers a distance of 150m. The distance covered by soilder is

250 160 230 310

Let v1 be the velocity of last soldier and v2 the velocity of other troops. Then relative velocity in forward motion is v1-v2 and in backward motion is v1+v2.

    t = 150/v2 = 80/(v1-v2) + 80/(v1+v2)

solving this we get ,

v1*t = distance covered by the soldier = 250m.
