Runs in the Family

Algebra Level 2

At a party, a guest asked about the host's family. "I have three children," said the host. "The product of their age is 72, and the sum of their ages happens to be our house number." The guest went to the door and checked the house number and after thinking a moment, said that she needed more information. "Oh, very well," replied the host, "my oldest child, who is not a twin, is named Pat." The guest was then able to give the children's ages. How old is Pat?
