Sarah let James borrow her 63 crayons for art class, but when he returned them there were only 56 crayons in the box. How many of Sarah’s crayons are missing?

Sarah starts with 79 79 crayons and gets back 69 69 crayons. To get the number of missing crayons, we subtract the number of crayons James gave back from the number of crayons Sarah gave him. Thus Sarah is missing 79 69 = 10 79-69 = 10 crayons.
