The next term is determined by breaking the series into numerator and denominator.

Numerator is multiplied by 2 and then 1 is added

Denominator is multiplied by 2 and then 2 is added

Thus the next term is 2 ( 39 ) + 1 2 ( 86 ) + 2 \frac{2(39)+1}{2(86)+2}

= 79 174 \boxed{\frac{79}{174}}
