Shaking more hands

There were 1000 people in a room. They all want to shake each other's hand but would only shake hands with people who are shorter or having the same height as them. Knowing that the 1000 people all have different height, how many handshakes will be there?

The answer is 0.

Knowing that all people have different heights no one would shake hands with each other. So, there would be 0 handshakes.

As a person would not shake hands with someone who is taller and get rejected by the people who are shorter, they can only shake hands with someone with the same height. As no one has the same height, 0 handshakes happened.
