There is no minimum. As either a or b becomes smaller(approaching -infinity) the expression becomes smaller.

@Pi Han Goh I think you want to consider [ ( a 1 ) ( b 1 ) ] 2 [(a-1)(b-1)]^2 instead?

Nope nope. I really just wanted (a-1)(b-1).
