sorry but I am not really good at explanation but I will just show you the solution:

4x+(5x)(4x)=16

4x+ 20 x 2 20x^{2} =16

20 x 2 20x^{2} +4x+16=0

(4x+4)(5x-4)=0

4x+4=0 5x-4=0

4x/4=-4/4 5x/5=4/5

x=-1 x=4/5

CHECKING:

4x+(5x)(4x)=16

4(-1)+[(5)(-1)][(4)(-1)]=16

-4+(-5)(-4)=16

-4+20=16

16=16

Since 16=16 then the 1st number is -1 :)

very simple let a,b,c are the 3 numbers then make the equation according to question.

equation one for c, c = 4+a equation second for b , b=5+3c and finally a+b+c=16

put all the values in equation 3rd

a+(5+3(4+a))+(4+a)=16 on solving you will get (-1) answer :)

Let the first number be x.
Therefore, third number is x+4.
Therefore, second number is 3(x+4) + 5.
It is given that x + x+4 + 3x+12+5 = 16.
Therefore, 5x = -(5x).
Hence, ans: (-1)

let a=first number, b=2nd number & c=3rd number c=4+a b=5+3c=5+3(4+a)=5+12+3a=17+3a a+b+c=16 a+17+3a+4+a=16 5a+21=16 5a=16-21 5a=-5 a=-5

Let x be first number. Therefore, second number = 5+3(4+x). Third number =4+x. Given that, Sum of numbers =16 \Rightarrow x + 5+3(4+x) +4+x = 16. Solving equation we get, x= -1,which is the first number.

more simple-

Let the 1st number be =x

3rd=x+4

2nd={3(x+4)}+5

A/Q

x+x+4+{3(x+4)}+5=16

2x+4+3x+12+5=16

5x+21=16

5x=16-21

x=-5/5

x=-1

As asked=1st no. is x or x=-1
