2 × 2 \huge \sqrt 2 \times \sqrt2

= ( 2 ) 2 \huge =(\sqrt 2)^2

= 2 1 2 × 2 \huge = 2^{\frac{1}{2} \times 2}

= 2 1 \huge = 2^1

= 2 \huge=\boxed{2}

How is this even 10 points?

x = 2 \sqrt{2} 2 *\sqrt{2}

x = 2 1 / 2 2^{1/2} 2 1 / 2 *2^{1/2}

x = ( 2 2 ) 1 / 2 (2*2)^{1/2}

x = ( 2 2 ) 1 / 2 (2^{2})^{1/2}

x = 2 2 ( 1 / 2 ) 2^{2*(1/2)}

x = 2 2 / 2 2^{2/2}

x = 2 1 2^{1}

x = 2 \boxed{x = 2}

2 × 2 \sqrt{2} \times \sqrt{2} can be expressed as \(\sqrt{2}^2} .

Therefore ( 2 ) 2 = 2 (\sqrt{2})^2 = 2

Roots cancel out to provide 2 \color{#69047E}{\boxed{2}} .

2½ × 2½ = (2²)½=2²*½ ( by the law of exponents ) 2¹=2

You should know the very basics. A rational number "q" = q × q \sqrt{q} \times \sqrt{q}

We know, but we just want proof. :)

Sqrt2 = 1.41421356237

1.41421356237 * 1.41421356237 = 2

Therefore Sqrt2 * Sqrt2 = 2
