Look closely and you will see that there isn't really a pattern, it is a list. Look at each of the numbers and find the characteristics of each number. You will find that each number is prime. The last prime number in the list is 29, so 31 must be the answer because it is the following prime number.

It is a sequence of prime numbers. The next prime number is 31. So, it's very simple to state that the answer must be 31.

the numbers in pattern has a property that it can't divide by numbers except itself and 1 to get integer value. so i found the next number after 29 that following the same property.
