Just a simple problem based on friction... So, the question is Whats the direction of friction while walking....

Action and reaction are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction. When we walk forwards we push the ground backwards, however the reaction force which is friction in this case acts forwards as a result of which we are pushed forward.

Simply friction can be told as it oposses the way of motion
