Using the BODMAS rule,
the first operation is division, then multiplication, then addition and then subtraction.
9 -( 3 ÷ 1 3 \frac{1}{3} )+ 1
=9 - (3 * 3 )+ 1
=9 - 9 + 1
=(9+1) - 9
=10 - 9
=1
