Picture it as a square 12 hour clock with two hands. The hands move in opposite directions at a set interval. The boxes move with the hands so we can label the hands black and white.

The black hand starts at 6 increasing by 3 to 9 then 12 then 3. The white hand starts at 12 decreasing by 1.5 to 10.5 then 9 then 7.5.

Follow the black box to find the solution. The black box in the first strip is moved clockwise. Following this logic, the answer must be A so that the black box can take the upper right corner in its clockwise movement. I'm not sure about the white circle and the folded line, though a vague pattern can be found in the folded line, too.
