The angles in a regular polygon with n n sides are 180 ° 360 ° n 180 ° 180°-\dfrac{360°}{n} \leq 180° hence it cannot be concave (as a concave polygon must have an angle greater than 180 ° 180° )

I think the important word in the question is 'simple'. This rules out stars, which in a sense can in fact be regular, concave polygons. However, they are non-simple.
