Its some what like this
1=1; 2=2; 3=3; 4=4; 5=5; 6=6; 7=1; 8=2; 9=3; 10=4; 11=5; 12=6 and so on........
7+8=15-12=3 8+9=17-12=5 similarly 11+11=22-12=10

it repeats after 6...so 7=1 and 8=2 and 9=3 and 10=4 and 11=5
It's the remainder when the numbers are divided by 12.
I thought of it as adding hours to a clock. :D

If the answer is greater than or equal to 12, divide it by 12 and take its remainder.
