Slope of straight lines

Geometry Level 3

Suppose two straight lines l l and m m pass through the origin and have positive slopes a a and b b , respectively. If a = 4 b a=4b and line m m bisects the angle between the x x -axis and line l , l, what is the slope of line m ? m?

1 3 \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} 1 2 \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}} 1 3 \frac{1}{3} 1 2 \frac{1}{2}

Since line m bisects angle between X axis and line l,and slops a and b are given as a=4b therefore slop of line m is 1/Underroot 2. Ans K.K.GARG,India
