96
i agree with yolanda .
No fair, it looked like 98,765 on my screen.
98.765 is closest to two integers, 98 and 99. 98 is smaller, so therefore, 98 is the answer.
An integer is a number with no fractions or decimals. 98.765 is not an integer so that doesn't disqualify 98 from being a solution. The integer has to be smaller than 98.765, so the largest integer smaller than 98.765 would be 98.
Common sense :)
Integer = whole number
So, if you want a number smaller than 98.765, look at where the decimal point is and pick out the numbers before the decimal point, which in this case is 98 :P
The largest integer smaller than 98.765 obviously is 98. because 98 is largest integer that is smaller than 98.765.
as 98.765 is a floating number and largest integer of this float is 98. fraction points are removed.
98.765 is a decimal number (Rational number) between the integer 98 and 99. 99 would be larger than 98.765 so the smaller integer than 98.765 is 98........ the answer is 98......
take away the .765 and then thats the largest interger but it says smaller but it is smaller if you take away the .765
Integer means complete number like -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 etc
This is common sense. Don't need to write a solution i think
98.765 is not a integer so the integer present below it will be 98
the interger before 98.765 is 98 larr
goood
