The amount of time being added is: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + . . . . + 59 + 60 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +.... +59 +60 minutes.

Pairing 1 with 60, 2 with 59, 3 with 58... etc, we can make 30 pairs from this some, each of which has a total value of 60 + 1 = 61 60+1 = 61 minutes.

Therefore, the amount of time added is equal to 61 × 30 61 \times 30 minutes, or 61 × 30 60 \frac{61 \times 30}{60} hours, as there are 60 minutes in an hour. That's 61 2 = 30.5 \frac{61}{2} = 30.5 hours.

After 24 of those hours, the time will be exactly the same, 5AM. Therefore, only 6.5 of the 30.5 hours matter. 5:00 AM + 6.5 hours is 11:30 AM.
