The amount of time being added is: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + . . . . + 5 9 + 6 0 minutes.
Pairing 1 with 60, 2 with 59, 3 with 58... etc, we can make 30 pairs from this some, each of which has a total value of 6 0 + 1 = 6 1 minutes.
Therefore, the amount of time added is equal to 6 1 × 3 0 minutes, or 6 0 6 1 × 3 0 hours, as there are 60 minutes in an hour. That's 2 6 1 = 3 0 . 5 hours.
After 24 of those hours, the time will be exactly the same, 5AM. Therefore, only 6.5 of the 30.5 hours matter. 5:00 AM + 6.5 hours is 11:30 AM.
