Bob works for as long as he wants. He gets paid 32$ each hour. How much money would he gain if he works for 2 hours and 15 minutes?


The answer is 72.

15 minutes are one fourth of a hour. A fourth from 32$ is 8$. Since he worked TWO hours And 15 minutes he would gain 2*32+8=64+8= 72 $

At first, I answered 64. Since it was mentioned that he gets paid EACH HOUR.

total money= (32 X 2)+(32 X 15/60)

= 64+(32 X 1/4)

=64+8

=72

total working time= 2+15/60=2.25hr.

so, money would he gain = 2.5x$32=$72.
