6m = 600 cm 600 + 80 = 680

680/80 = 8.5

um...in the question its written 6 cm not metre

The question must be, " The street is 6m 80cm wide ". Then the solution would have been = ( 6m + 80cm ) / 80cm = 680/80 = 8.5 Steps
