There are many 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, .....8x8 squares. We can observe a pattern, In a 1x1 square, the number of squares is 1=1^2 In a 2x2 square 5=1^2 +2^2 Similarly; In an 8x8 square 8^2 + 7^2 +....+1^2=204
