2 solutions

To make Soylent Yellow

1000 ÷ 25 = 40 1000 ÷ 25 = 40 animals

To make Soylent Red

1000 ÷ 10 = 10 1000 ÷ 10 = 10 animals

To make Soylent Green

1000 ÷ 10 = 100 1000 ÷ 10 = 100 humans

In total, we need:

40 + 10 + 100 = 150 40 + 10 + 100 = \boxed {150} living creatures

To make 1,000 wafers of Soylent Red requires 1,000/100 = 10 animals.

To make 1,000 wafers of Soylent Yellow requires 1,000/25 = 40 animals.

To make 1,000 wafers of Soylent Green requires 1,000/10 = 100 humans.

10 + 40 + 100 = 150.

Why humans though?
