Speedy Subdivision

Level pending

Harvey was driving over the speed limit when a police officer pulled him over. The officer walked up to Harvey's car and asked, "exactly how fast did you think you were going?" Harvey, who was good at arithmetic and had been watching the speedometer, replied, "I was going exactly 800 miles per 30 hours." The officer, who also had a head for numbers, retorted, "The speed limit is 341 miles per 16.5 hours." How many miles per hour over the speed limit was Harvey driving?

800/30 = 26.6666666667

341/16.5 = 20.6666666667

The speed Harvey was going was 6 more the the speed limit.

in 30 hours he travelled=800miles,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in 1 hours he travelled=80\3=A now limit

in 16.5 hours travelling =341miles,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in 1 hour travelling=341\16.5=62\3=B

their difference would give=A-B=80\3-62\3=6miles per hour
