Spring balance

Manya has a spring balance whose scale is calibrated to read in kilograms so that when she hangs a 10 kg 10 \text{ kg} block on it, the scale reads 10 kg 10 \text{ kg} .

Now, she arranges a setup with two blocks of 10 kg 10 \text{ kg} each, as shown in the diagram below.

What will be the reading of the spring balance?

0 kg 0 \text{ kg} 5 kg 5 \text{ kg} 10 kg 10 \text{ kg} 20 kg 20 \text{ kg}

The scale reads the tension in the string. The tension in the string is 10kg. This is the force the string must exert up on either of the 10-kg weights at either end of the string.
