Star Luminosity

Level 2

The Brightest star in the constellation Orion is the blue supergiant Star Rigel. Given that it has a surface temperature range of 11 , 500 12 , 100 11,500-12,100 Kelvin and has a diameter of 78.9 78.9 times that of the sun, find the star's luminosity range in Solar Units.

Assume the sun temperature is 5500 Kelvin

119 , 000 146 , 000 119,000-146,000 140 , 000 180 , 000 140,000-180,000 60 , 000 110 , 000 60,000-110,000 13 , 000 40 , 000 13,000-40,000 200 , 000 230 , 000 200,000-230,000

Using the Luminosity-Radius-Temperature Formula(Link : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminosity(you will have to scroll down))we find that the range is between 119 , 000 146 , 000 119,000-146,000 or an average of 132 , 500 132,500 times much more luminous.

Could you give a more detailed explanation please? I don't entirely understand
