Straight Line Motion

Two particles move along an x-axis.The position of particle 1 is given by x = 6 t 2 + 3 t + 2 x=6t^2+3t+2 (in meters and seconds);the acceleration of particle 2 is given by a = 8 t a=-8t (in meters per second squared and seconds) and, at t = 0 t=0 , its velocity is 15 m / s 15m/s .When the velocities of the particles match, what is their velocity?

The answer is 12.495.

1 solution

This is not the complete solution but a hint . Differentiate x and integrate a. Equate them and find the t. Put this value in any of the two and the v obtained is the answer

@Abhijat Bhaumik what was your method, I'm sure you didn't use my method. Please can you elaborate it! But if you have really learnt integration then You may try problems related to mechanics/calculus that I have posted/reposted. Try this set

@Abhijat Bhaumik , can you post the solution for your problem BAD angle. Can it be solved without constructing that triangle and then measuring, the angle. And can you give me quadrilateral and circle notes of FIITJEE.
