This type of sequences are not strange sequence's. They are known as Look and Say sequence.

There is ONE "1" in the first term so the second term is 11

There are TWO "1"s in the second term, hence, 21

ONE "2", ONE "1".. third term= 12 11

ONE "1", ONE "2", TWO "1"s..... 11 12 21

The previous term has THREE "1"s, TWO "2"s, ONE "1"... so 312211
