Past what value of femtometres of nucleon separation does the strong nuclear force become attractive instead of repulsive. By the way 1fm= 1*10^-15m which happens to be the size of a nucleus.

The strong nuclear force is repulsive for a very small separation of nucleons as this repulsion prevents the nucleus from being crushed to a point. However past 0.5 fm the strong nuclear force becomes attractive which holds the nucleus together otherwise the electrostatic force (which is larger than the gravitational force in an atom) which is repulsive would cause all thee nucleons to split apart if there was not a strong nuclear force that is attractive. Then after 3fm the strong nuclear force declines rapidly to 0.
