You would be surprised to see how many stupid people the "ugly man" has on Facebook. Their math skills are atrocious. Many get this problem incorrect and swear on their life that they are correct. Can you solve it?
40 + 40 x 0 +1/10 x 20 + 6 = ?

Use pedmas rule and we obtain the answer 4 8 .
You should explain that how you got 48 by using that rule.
BIDMAS
B - Brackets
I - Indices = Powers / Roots
D - Division
M - Multiplication
A - Addition
S - Subtraction
If we split it up using brackets then we get
4 0 + ( 4 0 ⋅ 0 ) + ( 1 0 1 ⋅ 2 0 ) + 6
Simplifying it and expanding the brackets gives
4 0 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 4 8
So the answer is 4 8
40x0=0 and 1/10x20=2...so now adding we get 40+2+6 = 48
Use the BODMAS rule. The alphabet that occurs first has a greater priority. B- brackets O-Of(simply multiply) D-divide M-multiply A-addition S-subtraction
It is actually very easy.
(40)+(40X0)+[(1)/10]X(20)+(6)
=40+0+2+6
=48
