Order of Operations my people. 40 + (40 x 0) + (1/10 x 20) + 6 = 40 + 2 + 6 = 48.

Use pedmas rule and we obtain the answer 48 \color{#69047E}{\boxed{48}} .

BIDMAS

B - Brackets

I - Indices = Powers / Roots

D - Division

M - Multiplication

A - Addition

S - Subtraction

If we split it up using brackets then we get

40 + ( 40 ⋅ 0 ) + ( 1 10 ⋅ 20 ) + 6 40 + (40 \cdot 0) + (\frac {1}{10} \cdot 20) + 6

Simplifying it and expanding the brackets gives

40 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 48 40 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 48

So the answer is 48 48

40x0=0 and 1/10x20=2...so now adding we get 40+2+6 = 48

Use the BODMAS rule. The alphabet that occurs first has a greater priority. B- brackets O-Of(simply multiply) D-divide M-multiply A-addition S-subtraction

It is actually very easy.

(40)+(40X0)+[(1)/10]X(20)+(6)

=40+0+2+6

=48
