  • x: By angles on a line, x = 180 58 = 122 x = 180-58=122
  • y+z: Similarly by angles on a line, y + z = 180 y + z =180
  • Hence x + y + z = 122 + 180 = 302 x+y+z = 122 + 180 =302

Note: We can show that y = 5 8 \angle y = 58 ^ \circ and z = 12 2 \angle z = 122 ^ \circ .

Since these two lines are horizontal, the total degrees are 360, so, x+y+z=360-58=302.

x + 58 = 180

x = 180 - 58 = 122

y + z = 180

x + y + z = 180 + 122 = 302
