When you speak, your vocal chords vibrate, making the air in your throat and mouth vibrate and create a sound wave.The sound wave moves through the air and when someone speaks to you, it is the sound wave hitting your ear drum and triggering nerve impulses to your brain. Since the sound wave is sensitive, your voice gets blown around and distorted when the wind from the fan blows at the sound waves. p.s: please don't stick your toungue out when trying this
