On the second day, I will travel half of the remaining distance.
On the third day, I will travel half of the remaining distance.
On the fourth day, I will travel 500 km to reach Perth.

What is the distance of my road trip?

suppose ,the whole journey is x

so, on the 1st day it is = x 2 \frac{x}{2}

on the 2nd day it is = x 4 \frac {x}{4}

on the 3rd day it is = x 8 \frac {x}{8}

now, x 8 \frac {x}{8} =500

or, x= 4000
